I run WinME (OEM version). I have always had major problems with installing USB devices, as my machine seems to have great difficulty finding the necessary files.
I have an 8 button 2 axis usb joypad, made by PC Line, tournament 8 model. It's a cheap pad but the children like it.It is not supplied with any drivers.
When I tried to install it today my machine kept starting 'add new hardware' wizard but then couldn't find any files. After a lot of hardwork, far more than a £5 pad deserves, it is now on my system, identified as a 'HID compliant device' and a 'USB human interface device' on the system properties panel.
It is still not detected in my game controller box though, even though all the drivers appear installed correctly. Where do I go next? is there a proprietory or generic driver that I could install to let the pad be recognised?
Thanks
