usb drivers on 2.6 kernel (RedHat)

Hi,

I have been trying to configure an external USB Disk (80GB) on dell 2950 server with RedHat AS4U2 with 2.6.9-22 kernel.

dmesg does not show the connected drive but gives following messages:

these are just the lines related to USB.

can someone help.

I had the same problem with RHEL4U1 since upgraded to U3 all's working
 
Can you post the output of lsusb, if the device is in the list (which based on the output above i think it will) then RHEL has picked it up.

From here you'll have to figure out where its been assigned to (i.e. /dev/sda potentially).

From there you'll need format it and then mount it somewhere, shout back if your still having trouble.

I wish someone would just call me Sir, without adding 'Your making a scene'.
