usb dongle chipset search

Hallo All,

Do any of you know of any tool that will scan a usb port and try to determine what chipset a wifi usb dongle has? This thing is not found on boot, nothing in dmesg...

It's a Philips cpwua054/00 usb dongle if anyone has any info on this. I am having a terrible time getting this thing up and running on a Ubuntu desktop (breesy).

ndiswrapper as a last resort by the way...

Never mind...

Plug it in, lsusb does the rest.
