I purchsed an ABS Bravado 2500 last month, loaded with Windows XP Home. After that I bought a new Visioneer One Touch 7100 USB scanner. I've noticed that lately Windows will not recognize the scanner on a cold boot (after the computer has been off for several hours), that is, no scanner is present in Device Manager. If I immediately reboot, the scanner is loaded. It seems like less of a problem with the scanner than the USB port. I thought I'd check here for help before I got on the phone with the manufacturer's tech support.
