The device is a USB voice recorder attached to a USB 4-port hub. The device works fine in 1 port, but when attaching to the port I wish to connect to on the hub it does not work even though the green light on the hub comes on and Windows seems to find it fine and I can safely remove it via the icon in the system tray. Software is set so that it automatically lauches the dictation software when the device it detected. Is there a way to change the USB port location through Windows for a USB device? It comes up under device manager under USB controllers as a USB mass storage device with "Location 0". Do I need to change this somewhere in Windows to "Location 1"?
Thanks,
Craig
