USB Card Readers

We are having trouble getting our USB Card Reader to work under Windows 2000. We have to unplug and plug back in to get Windows 2000 to recognize the card reader. We are using the software provided by the card reader vendor. Has anyone else experienced problems of this nature??? If so, how did you resolve???? Thanks

Hope this isn't obvious, but you could check the vendor's website for updated drivers for Win2k, or see if they have a tech support section. I had to do this for a USB card reader I bought and did have to download new driver, after which it worked OK.

Thanks for the info. We have already downloaded the latest driver. Still doesn't help. I have talked to a couple other users who are having the same problem using xp.
