I am building a video editor from a dual processor 2.4 GHZ Micron server. The USB ports see my software key (dongle) but will not see either of my 256 meg USB 2.0 pen drives. The ports find human interface devices ok also. Both pen drives work very well on other systems and are different brands. I have Win2K SP3 for the OS. The system is brand new.... Could it be because I am using Serial ATA drives? the cd and DVD-rw are both EIDE.

Any clues on where to look now? Thanks in advance for any help offered!

Have you checked in Manage yet? I've seen these little USB pen drives get drive letters assigned that are already in use by other devices. If you go to Manage, Disk Management and find the drive and it has an already-in-use drive letter, right click it and change it to a different letter. Good luck.
