I have a Gateway Solo 5300. I recently purchased a Cardbus adapter for usb2.0. The adapter will let me see my devices(Lacie d2 dvd+/-rw drive and espon stylus rx600) but will not let me use them. When i burn start to burn a dvd or cd it spins up and that is it, and the it acts like it is sending data when trying to print but nothing happens. All of my drives are up to date. Does anyone have any ideas. Please help.

What OS are you using?
You may need third party drivers for USB2 if you aren't fully serviced packed and up to date.

I'm using Win XP, Service Pack 2.

. remove with Device Manager the "Root Hub" shown under USB devices or System Devices by selecting Uninstall with a right click.

. Restart the machine and test again.
