I have some pci usb cards and the newer, usb2
cards seem to have a red, white, & blue stamping
on them so I believe that will tell us about pci
cards. I dont know for sure if all of the newer
pci cards will have that stamp, but I will find
out soon as I ordered a different one yesterday.
How about the cables themselves? I have a
bunch of usb 1 cables and now I have usb 2.0 cables
as well. I put a cardboard keytag sorta thing on the 2.0
cables so I could tell.
But I am wondering if there was a way to tell one cable
from the other by looks alone? I dont think so but
if someone knows different, I would like to know.
Also, how about a program or someother way of
figuring out the transfer speed of the cable and/or
device being used? That would really be helpful.
Does anyone know of such a program? I'm sure
this would be helpful to lots of us! Course maybe
everybody else knows and I am the only geek on
earth who doesnt!
Thanks
