usage tracking in asp

I've been asked if it's possible to track usage data using asp. It was suggested that a blank image be put into a page, and whenever iis grabs that image, tracking data be passed through the url to a program that tracks that data.

Of course it is <self-promo> ASP Page Logging doesn't need an image BTW

Click the show code link to download the ASP code. Set to use MySQL as is, but you can change the connection string to use another DB.
Has been used with Access, MS SQL & MySQL.

Hey Chris, is it me or does it look like you have a syntax error in the link tag in your header/logo image?

Quite probably

A GD friend did the header and I've never really looked at the code bit.

And you're right, he seems to have collected random bits of code and made it look "pretty"
