I have solaris 7 with an English locale/time zone etc. However since it has been racked I have been using an american keyboard. Thus the key mapping is incorrect. i.e. the '2' key on a UK keyboard will have " over it and on a US keyboard it has @.

This is more than an annouence as the | key with the current keyboard will just output a # and I need |

How do I change this? I suppose I could do a sys-unconfig and change the locale to US but I dont want to do that. I do want the locale the same for everything except the keyboard

How can I do this?

hi there,
there is utility called loadkeys (apparently well known under Linux), which does the job you ask for.
loadkeys demands one parameter a so called "keytables" file which comprises a specific keyboard layout mapping the desired keys to whereever you want them to be mapped to.
In directory /usr/share/lib/keytables there are a lot of predefined keytable layouts. If you're lucky you'll find the right one.

In fact there's a uk file within that directory which will hopefully do what you need. Cheers.

Hi all,

How can we perform the follwing settings:

- We have to modify the international phone code (prefix)
for a specific regional settings in SUN Solaris 8 Environment. Example:
I have +44 for the UK. We have to change(or add?) this value in +234.
Please Can you describe the procedure to do this step by step?
Thanks in advance for your helpful!.

Ciao a tutti.
