I do not know what version of kernel are you using ?
but with 2.4 kernel you can use 'iptables" it 's a complete firewall, not only in redirect but also to protect all your networks, masquerading....
look at this
if you use 2.2 kernel you must use ipchains
do :
#uname -a
you will see your kernel version
