url not updating with frame content

I've been told I do not do frames properly - on a simple page with frames, one frame is a menu and the other loads the new content, but the URL remains the same despite what content is loaded - what should I change ??

make sense / or anyone want a sample ??

That's the way frames work. You always have the URL of the page that loaded the frameset and only change the sources of your inner frames. That is one of the downsides of using frames. There is probably no need for frames anyway. In 95% of the cases, the same thing can be achieved in a better way.

that's because every page looks to be it's own frameset. thereby giving all the very many disadvantages of frames minus the one advantage. But as the navigation on that site is an imagemap using a frameset is totally pointless.

To clarify Vragabond's comment. That's how correctly coded frames work.

Like Chris points out - That's how correctly coded frames work.

That's also why mr. Mustards page is corrupt. Try validating it using

http://validator.w3.org/

It'll fail -just look at the source...
