url link works in "test movie" but not after publishing?

A simple "Home" button with a to a

http://www.-url

seems to be looking on my hard drive/server for such a file instead of going online...(?) It works just fine in the "test movie" !
I used basic action ...on release...get url (don't send)
anyone? what am I missing?
