URGENT - USER CAL SETUP

Hi all,

This is a really urgent request for some info. I can't seem to find details on this particular problem even though i can find so much general info.

I am installing SQL Server Enterprise Edition. I want to license it with 100 USER CALS. When i get to the 'Choose licensing mode' screen, I have two options:

Per Device
Per Processor

How do i set it to Per User??????

There must be someone out there who has SQL Server Enterprise Ed setup with User CALS....

I just need to know how to set it up with 100 User CALS...

MS has changed their licensing practice (quite a few times now). As far as your request, in order to support 100 CALS you can do this by selecting by device. Is this for production or development environment?

Processor allows you to have unlimited users based on the # of processors that sit on your server.

This is for our UAT and DEV environments.

From what you have said, I believe you should set up your licenses as 100 devices. You should consider testing this on a test/ development server to begin with.
