URGENT! Upgrade OS Fail...

I upgrade AIX 5200-01 to AIX 5200-07 and when i use
the oslevel -r command, it fails with error:

/usr/bin/oslevel[486]: /usr/bin/id: cannot execute
oslevel: Error processing cache, return code 109.
oslevel: Use the -f flag to rebuild cache.

Need some help.
 
the first part of you error states " cannot execute"
did you check the permissions of your system ?
 
did you do lppchk -v before you upgraded the maintlevel?

Also, run "lppchk -vm3" now, and paste it here....if you get anything..

Also, paste your instfix -i | grep ML here


 
I finally found it. It was the /usr/bin/id that have no permissions (like this --> ---------- ).

I don't know what cause this, but setting permissions solve the problem. There was also the shutdown -Fr that didn't work if /usr/bin/id doesn't executable.
 
Has TCB been enabled on your system?
Because this could be the cause for your ---------
