when i use transformer 66.1.7 generate a cube in windows
it will ok when do not using user class in mdl,
but when i exclude city_code dim in categories and generate a cube ,it will give us an error TR3110,what's the matter?

Appreciate your help in advance!

One of the reasons why you may get this error is if you have incorrectly specified the data class for your columns under data sources properties in Transformer. For example, if the data for a particular column/field is numbers, then you will want to specify numeric for the data class.

----------------------------
When building a cube in Transformer receive the following error message:

(TR3110) An unknown error has occurred during the operation. Please contact Cognos Customer support.

...and the build fails.

Solution:

You can try each of the following separately or perform all the steps before trying to rebuild the cubes, but make a backup of the model and cube files in a separate folder first.

Delete and re-add the powercubes back to the model:
1. open the model file, select the powercube from the "PowerCubes" window
2. Right click and select delete
3. save the model
4. Physically delete the original MDC file from Windows
5. Reopen the model and right click in the Powercubes window and select insert powercube
6. Specify a new name for the cube in a different folder location
7. Try to rebuild the cube

Delete and re-add the data sources back to the model
1. Open the model file
2. Right click on the data source and select "Delete Data source" (repeat for all data sources)
3. Right click in the data sources window and re-add all data sources back to the model
4. Try to rebuild the cube

Delete and re-add all dimensions one by one back into the model
(note: all defined categories (ie relative time categories) will have to be redefined following these steps)
1. open the model
2. Select the last dimension, right click and select "delete dimension"
3. Recreate the dimension from scratch
4. try to rebuild the cube
5. (repeat for all dimensions)

Ensure that the log file is set to a valid location in File - Preferences.
Description:

If you have orphan categories, ensure the parent categories are set to either 'Suppress Blanks or 'Always Include'.

OR

If the model has ever been opened and saved from a transformer installation on Windows ME, then this error can occur when porting the model to Windows 2000.

Windows ME is not a supported operating system of Transformer 6.61.

The solution is to recreate the model.
