Hello,

My Rep DBA is out for this week-Need help.

The replicate db is having some issues due to which replication is failing. Getting stable-queue msgs. What should I do now.

Using ASE 12.0, RepServer 12.0 on Solaris with around 500 transactions per day.

Please help.

Thanks

hello,

i would start by logging into the rep server...
and run 'admin health'... if you get a status of 'SUSPECT'... run 'admin who_is_down'... if there are any connections down... you need to investigate the rep server log file...

you can find this in $SYBASE/$SYBASE_ASE/install
please review the troubleshooting guide for your rep server... you should have a technical library with your rep server software package that you can use...

run admin who,sqm to determine that you are not replicating or flushing the stable queue...

you need to compare the First Seg.Block column with the Last Seg.Block column numbers...

if they are not equal... your rep agent and/or DSI connection may be down... you may need to resume the connection...

'resume connection to {SERVER_NAME.databaseName}'

you should really get a hold of your DBA for further instructions...

hth,
q.
