urgent:plz help in currency convertion

well you would need to connect to some web service or socket connection to a website to get the value.
But, the dollar coversion value is roughly 1.7 - 1.8
e.g.
UK > $ : uk sterling * 1.8 = us dollar
$ > UK : us dollar / 1.8 = uk sterling
When i make conversions, i use those guidelines
