Hi,

We have a IPS with 8 PIM.,

I'm in deep trouble with all my isdn link. All of a sudden I got the RMT LED on (Frame Alignment signal loss alarm).
It all started with one isdn link connected to my other pbx(PN-24DTA-A), and then my second isdn link(PN-DTA) connected to our PRI.
And now after about 3 days the third link (My last one PN-DTA) is giving me PosFrameSlipsRx errors in our gateway.

I have reprogrammed the card and checked all the switch on the PN-DTA. I cannot find the problem.
The green led is flashing as normal on both PN-DTA cards in our PBX except for the RMT led that remains lit.

Has anyone experienced such a trouble in the past?

By the way a loopback test gives me a green LC light and a green LPB light with the RMT led stills red.
At thins point, since I did not touch the programming, should I suspect a hardware issue?

A RMT led indicates the far end has the issue. Check with your telco provider. Or the far end PBX.

I did check and it and it seems fine. Keep in mind that the 3 isdn link has 3 different far end so...

My provider is telling me that it has something to do with the D channel.

Verify the protocol with your provider. Many times they upgrade their facilities and change the "D" channel protocol. Almost every provider uses Ni-2. Check your settings and compare to telco.

What system is this?

It's an IPS. I'm in Canada so it's DMS100 in my case.

Check CMD AA06, then verify with the CO. Around here, US, CO's are switching to IP and placing routers on customer sites to provide ISDN links. They almost always switch the protocol to Ni-2.
