Hi folks,

I really need help on this. I am using latest version of P2BBDE.DLL file and it is database driver in my report. I did so much R&D and search on web to figure out the 'Access Violation' issue it throws.

On Windows 2000 & XP machines, when I try to generate the report, it throws 'Access Violation at certain memory address'. This error does not come on 98 & ME machines (though the P2BBDE.DLL is the same on both the machines).

I tried so many options. Even I asked for help from Crystal. Sometimes I felt that they are very close to help me out but every time they came closer, in next email they had totally bogus ideas.

Folks, please help me out. This is very urgent and client has started receiving this problem.

Waiting for your help,

Yes, I tried that too. The issue is - it works fine on 98/ME. It gives error on XP/2000. If you have DLL that works then please give me the URL where I can download it.

I will really appriciate it.

Good news!!!

I was able to nail down this error. There was a problem with Paradox table. Table being used in that report had a field of type - 'AUTOINC'. As soon as I removed this field and incremented it manually, the error disappeared. Definitely the performance is not good but still I am able to put my components in production.

Thanks for answering my questions. I hope this helps victims in future.
