Hi pple, got a problem here..
i am using Access 97 as frontend to Oracle8/8i.
Currently, I can use a command button to launch a link text stored in Oracle( as Varchar2 field ). As Oracle has no "Hyperlink" datatype, i have to use Varchar2.
The problem is now the user cannot edit the link text in the textbox by right-clicking -> Insert Hyperlink and then navigating to the desired file (link address to it will be automatically captured). Reason is: It's not a hyperlink. So there's no option in the right-click.
Instead, now user has to copy & paste the hyperlink from somewhere(Explorer perhaps), which is a hassle.
Also, since Access 97 does not have Access 2000's isHyperlink property, i cannot "transform" the text into a hyperlink to get that option in the right-click.
Is there a workaround to this problem? Please help asap! Thanks!~~~
