Urgent: Making fields Invisible

I need to keep certain fields on my report so as to use the SQL query to sort the report by them. However I do not want to display those fields. Is there a way of keeping them there but making them invisible?

You don't need to have the fields on the report to sort on them.

You're better served to to the sorting on the database, so if you're using CR 9, build the SQL with the sort.

If for some reason you have to have the field present, (for instance, its has a variable in it), what I do it make the font color white. Boom, its gone.
