Dears,
I work at ISP & most of our Dial-up users complains of lost carrier ( getting disconnect after moments ) , Thousands of users complains the same . What command i have to add to the As5300 or As5400 to avoid this issue ?

Thanks

You could try adding the secret cisco command to eliminate all problems on your router=: router>#bugs off

Only kidding ;-), there is no such command, though there are some that would have tried it.... Your problem could be caused by many things so its hard for anyone to assist without you first doing some initial troubleshooting and recording the results.

1. It could be your connection. I gather you have digital modems connecting through a T1. Check with your line provider to see if they have experienced problems with the T1 line. They should be able to produce logs of the line up-time.
2. You should try connecting as a remote user and see if you can simulate the error to confirm the exact nature of the problem.
3. Check the log on your router.

If you post your config, we may be able to see if there is something configured incorrectly.

I know that this is quite an old message but on searching it seems as though I may be experiencing a similar problem.

We are using AS5300 with multiple E1 lines. Only certain ISDN customers that dial-in are getting disconnected with a time-out of 120 seconds. I have set all timeouts that I can find to disabled. I was wondering whether this was only affected by certain telcos.....still trying to collect info. It also affects both TAs and Routers.

Talked a customer through disabling the timeout on their TA/XP dialer ......still timing out.

Confused by the fact that only certain consistent customers are affected.

Any suggestions ???????

Thanks Si
