Hi, I hope someone here can help me, I am having a big problem with jpeg quality in my report.

I have a word file, I made this into a pdf and then saved that as a jpeg in Adobe Acrobat. I then opened this in Photoshop and amended it slightly.
When I try to insert this picture, it seems to be 50 cm long even though it's image size in photoshop was a landscape pdf, when i reduce the size of the image I am just losong quality, has anyone had experince of this before and if so - how can i sort it out?

Tahnks

It's my understanding that every time a JPEG is opened and re-saved, it loses a bit of quality, due to the "lossy compression" factor. A graphics expert could probably either correct me, or elucidate both of us even further.

Now my question, and I'm sure it's on the minds of several, is what are you trying to do?

You start with a Word file (presumably, text of some type). It then gets smushed into a PDF, and then into a JPEG by Adobe, and then opened in Photoshop?

For what purpose? Are you attempting to insert this JPEG file in/on a report?
What could you possibly need three or four different products with three different file formats to do?? I'm so curious!! :)
