urgent issue: no voice on line

I upgraded from ACS R7 to R8. The backup transferred fine and everything looks good. However, when I pick up one of the lines, there is nothing. When I call into the system, it rings 4 times and then goes to the partner mail system. No ringing is heard or lights on the phone. What could be the issue?
 
You could have a defective line port, or that line may programmed incorrectly. Try swapping lines with a spare port and double check the programming. Even with a backup transfer between R7 and R8, something may have been corrupted in the process.

i replaced with another R8 and loaded the config and everything worked fine. The issue was with the line ports. Thanks.
