Urgent!!!Intelligence server is not starting up

Our Intelligence Server is not starting up. We tried rebooting the machine several times but it did not help.
We are also unable to view our project anymore.
We are on an Windows 2000 machine, Microstrategy v7.2.1 , Oracle 9.2.0.3.
Please let me know how we can get the server up and running again.

Yes..we tried calling tech support, but they are closed down bcos of the hurricane

I would look into two places before giving up:
- DSS Errors.log
- NT Event Viewer

Those two will give you the reason why the server does not start up.
We have had one case here where the IServer could not start because (somehow) it was trying to load a HUGE cache file in memory and hit the Windows NT process size limit.... We had to recreate a new server definition to then load the projects one at a time, change the setting "do not load cache at startup"...

Check that the Intelligence Server is pointing to the right DSN, username and password... cause, it can be a reason why the server does not start up.

Run again the Configuration wizard, and verify that the DSN is correct.

Hi!! Our experience just this week (we are brand new on MSTR) was that they took the metadata database down to do a restore and the I-Server wouldn't start back up. I of course freaked out but discovered it is quite normal which is why I'm an administrator "in training" ... Good luck!
