Trying to set-up a Policy for IE, it requires Proxy settings to be set, but there doesn't apear to be anywhere to input the Proxy Port Number....????

Any ideas.....????

thanks....

Which policy template are you using?

You could set the proxy in the Default users' IE settings and propagate it out.

I hope this helps

Yeah, that would be the way 2 do it, but can you tell of a template file that includes the "Port" setting field.....????

Thanks.....

It seems to be the off97nt4.adm template that allows setting the proxy server, does anyone know of a version which allows the proxy port number to be set...????

I thought at least one or other of the variety of IE templates allowed this setting.

Can't check today, I'm in a UNIX house.

However, I do seem to remember that there's a registry value, probably in HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\InternetSettings. I wouldn't be surprised if the Value was called ProxyServer. It would be entered as ProxyName:port

I hope this helps
