urgent how to get a report header in cross tab report pag 2 2

hi,

I have a cross tab report in page header. The report is big and it runs to 2 pages. Although i see a report header in the first page of the cross tab report i am unable to see the report header in the second page.

what do i do to get the reprot header also to show in the second page of the cross tab report?

Depends upon your version. Select an object you want to repeat in the virtual page->right click->format field->common tab->repeat on horizontal pages.

I just tested in and it does work, so please explain exactly what you did. It is not helpful to state only that something does not work. Perhaps you should explain what you mean by report header--I assumed you meant fields in the report header. Were you instead referring to some feature of the crosstab itself? In the customize style tab you can check "repeat row labels" for instance.
What exactly were you trying to get to repeat on the additional pages?

I have 3 objects on page 1 that i want repeated in pages 3 and 4.

These objects are placed in the top portion of page1. They are basically report headers.

The report is a cross tab report. This cross tab report runs into 4 pages. Page 1 is fine which shows the report header. Page 3 and 4 dont show the objects.

objects that i want repeated
1) page title
2)Date
3)company title
4)page number and the bottom of the page

I did what you suggested -- repeat on horizontal pages -- but i don't see the changes.

You need to identify the section your crosstab is in and the report section the fields you want repeated are in (not just your informal designation of where they are).

The cross tab as well as the objects i want repeated are both in report header (RH b).

RH a contains a graph and RH b contains the cross tab report.

Both RH a and RH b contain company titles and other small info objects.

I was assuming you were talking about virtual pages to the right--I now think you meant actual pages. The issue is that there are no page headers for the report header section. The solution is to create a formula that is true for all records, e.g.,

whilereadingrecords;

Insert a group on this formula and move the crosstab into the group header. Suppress the report header section, and instead move the fields into the page header section. You will now get recurring page headers on each page.
