right, i want to rotate a word in flash 5.

The transform Window only seems to let me rotate the object around like the hands of a clock, i want to rotate it so it spins around on the y axis.

If i am confusing u i am sorry, but there r three axis on which u can rotate an object, i can only rotate it on 1 of those axis.

your not confusing me, however what you want to do is a little beyond me..you can't really rotate text on the y axis like your wanting to..there are some other programs like swish and swift that could be of some help to ya..make quick work of rotating text and things like the effect your after..

now with that said there is sorda a way to get the effect your after in flash but trust me it will not be what your looking for..i will get you on the right trac then you will have to get oldnewbie or wangbar to get you the rest of the way..or better than that if i lead ya the wrong way they will set it straight..

you need to convert your text to a symbol (movie clip) ..now on your clip you can do something like

onClipEvent (enterFrame) {
setProperty ("textmc", _rotation, "_y =something like this"
}
some thing like that..you have to set the rotation of the clip to spin on the y axis..like i said a little beyond me..but one of the other guys will get ya going, just ask em..

but then again the finished product i imagine will not be as great of an effect as you thought it would be..i've see it and it's not so hot..
