Urgent Help Please!!!! 'Read Only' Attribute causing major problems..

I am not sure whats has changed, but now all the shares and folders on a 2003 server appear as 'read only' I cannot seem to apply changes, and the Read Only box is lightly greyed out. I can remove the tick, but it simply returns. It is affecting all drives and shares...

Any ideas greatfully received...!! Thanks in advance!

Do you mean the actual share permissions or the folder permissions when you right click and select properties?

The reason i ask it that this seems to be a common problem on 2k3 server. I could be wrong.
