Hi gentlemen,
I have this big problem of link cut-off between two LIMs (MD110 BC 8) which were initially connected by2mbp/s radio through group switch. The remote LIM (160 extensions) loads from the main LIM (320 extensions), but now that the radio link is down, the remote LIM went off due to power problem.
I have less than a week to bring-up the remote as stand alone or face the music. There is no immediate plan to replace the faulty radio link due to insurance related issues.
I am now considering two options:
1. Take the HDU and IPU boards from the main LIM to the remote LIM.
2. Physically carry the remote LIM to the main LIM and connect direct through the GJUL4 then boot up and relay on the MEU to sustain the PBX to return to the remote site.
I am fairly knowledgeable on the programming and I understand that the first option may not give a stable boot up else some configurations have to be effected.
Although the PBXs in question are very old, I have been mandated to solve this problem before my proposal for upgrade or replacement will be entertained.
This forum is capable in providing solutions to various problems. Let mine not be an exception.
Please advice.
