Hello ALL,

I accidentally turned on discovery for the entire domain and so it went and added the whole western U.S. which I do not manage. So I decided to do a special delete of all systems and now it is taking it's time on reloading my clients. Out of 121 XP clients that I originally had, I only see 3 or 4 of them as clients. Do any of you have any idea on how to make this process a little faster??? THANKS!!!

Hello ALL,

I did a search for this type of thing in this forum and found a solution to this issue. Actually, I came accross quite a few, but with my limited knowledge of scripts, I went with the next and possibly the best solution to this particular problem. What I did was to copy the DDR from the client into the DDM on the SMS Server. Done as follows: C:\windows\ms\sms\core\data\smsdisc.ddr to SMSServer\C$\sms\inboxes\ddm.box. You'll see it disappear from the ddm.box about 3 seconds after you copy it there. Wait about 3-5 minutes and do a collection update. You should then see it as an installed client.[thumbsup]

Yeah, I did have to do this separately for every single client out there, but since it only takes about 10 seconds perclient, it didn't really matter.[thumbsup2]
