I have restarted our SQL 7.0 server many times for the last few days. I found there was a process with "LCK_M_X" lock blocked by the CHECKPOINT process. It appeared that the CHECKPOINT process was running log backup at that time. Can someone tell me while the CHECKPOINT process was blocking the others? Anything I need to check?
