Using linked servers to create a Access 'Ms Access 97 database' which
resides on the network.
It creates fine. When I try executing a query using Windows NT login, the
query runs okay. ,
But I have created SQL Server local logins , and when I execute queries it
returns an errors...

Server: Msg 7399, Level 16, State 1, Line 1
OLE DB provider 'Microsoft.Jet.OLEDB.4.0' reported an error.
[OLE/DB provider returned message: Not a valid file name.]

Its all to do with the permissions to the NT directory., I have set
parameters in the SQL Server Services., but still it does not work.

Any help very much appreciated

Can you run the query from Query Analyzer?

It will be easier for you to use the NT logins otherwise the user will need to login to SQL Server separately. The NT logins need permissions on the tables, views, Store Procedures. You can put then all in a group/role and assign the permissions on the role.
