okay i have imported 3 tables from access to sql. all my tables converted but the data from one of the tables that i am working from did not. it says that there is an error at desination for row number 7751. what does this mean and how do i fix it?

thanks for all your help

First, how did you export the tables to SQL Server? I use the Access Upsizing Wizard. You can designate that the Upsizing Wizard print out a report, which notifies you of any errors that occur. It appears record 7751 in that Access table violated the data type of the SQL Server table you exported to. Check in design view of the SQL table to see if it is using a different data type than you used in Access. Also look in the Access table for record 7751 and see what value is listed there to determine if the data violates the data type for the SQL table. Also ensure that all tables exported from Access have a primary key designated BEFORE you export them to SQL Server- otherwise you won't be able to update these tables.
