UPS Software & DOS program

Hi,

I have an APC UPS650 to keep the power going on a PC should there be a brief power failure.

In the event of a longer power failure, can the software(I think it's Powerchute) close the PC (Win 95/98) down gracefully if there's a DOS program running?

Your assistance is most appreciated.
