UPS for UnixWare 7.1.1 server

I need to get a new UPS for a HP Netserver E800 running UnixWare 7.1.1. Can anyone recommend a particular UPS, or are the differences in brand only. Can I get the server to shut down if the UPS is running out of power, and is this function dependent on the UPS?
