uploading worddoc to database

Hey,

is it possible to upload a word document to my access database? I don't want to save the url where the document is but the whole document in the database because sometimes is the document just on a harddisk ... can this been done?

Start here then get really creative. My guess is you'll have to store the .doc files into what Access thinks is an image or bitmap field.

This article gives you sample code to start creating the VB helper object you will need, but like I said - you'll have to get creative. And it doesn't tell you how to get the image IN there. And you need to be able to create ActiveX DLLs in VB.

Look for similar articles, though most deal with SQL Server or Oracle.

ASP and Access don't really mix well - you're using a Geo Tracker to haul your semi trailer aound.
