When I had VB5 (Learning Edition) up and running and doing programs great, then zipfiled all the directories and files and removed 'em all to another directory "on hold", then unzipped all back to original directory.  The problem is that when starting up VB5 an error message comes up saying "VB5ext.olb file corrupt" even though I replaced this file and it's in same directory.

If you tried to copy VB5 or backup so that it could just be unziped to another machine that wont work, because VB5 installs system files into /windows/system, as well as several registry entries. Also I am not accusing you but they would never make it possible for you to just pack up and move, because of piracy reasons.<br><br>correct me if thats not what you were asking about. <p>Karl<br><a href=mailto:kb244@kb244.8m.com>kb244@kb244.8m.com</a><br><a href= </a><br>Experienced in , or have messed with : VC++, Borland C++ Builder, VJ++6(starting),VB-Dos, VB1 thru VB6, Delphi 3 pro, Borland C++ 3(DOS), Borland C++ 4.5, HTML, ASP(somewhat), QBasic(least i didnt start with COBOL)
