Thanks for your help!

I designed my web site. I need to upload it to the server, which I thought I did, however it is not visible when I checked it on the net.

The tech support people at the server said: "It's uploading to an incorrect folder, that's why it's not resolving on the internet. Under define site, please make sure the server directory or host folder, or remote folder have:
/web

It's where your index.html should reside. Please try it again and let us know."

My web site is saved on my computer in the following location: Mswin98se-->Program Files-->Macromedia-->Dreamweaver 3--> ym

What is tech support talking about and what am I doing wrong?

They appear to be saying that I need to create a file called "/web" to upload to on their server. How do I do that and where do I crerate this folder? Do I have to then include the "ym" folder and the contents of my entire web site in the new "/web" folder?

WHEW!

Thanks,

Adam

When I first tried uploading my site I had problems, I have now found the easiest way to do it is save everything in a folder called "mydomain.com" where "mydomain" is your domain name (My site is saved in C:\Program Files\Dreamweaver\airimprove.ltd.uk). Then log into your FTP space and just select the "mydomain.com" folder in the My Computer window and drag it across to the FTP window.

It's worked everytime for me and is simple drag and drop. You may want to delete everything from your FTP space first. Hope that helps.

I'm not absolutely sure, but it sounds like you are uploading to a virtual host system. You would need to locate your files in the proper location according to where they need to see them. Try changing the location of files in the "define sites" under the file locations. Check both local and remote locations. You may have to change your remote to match what they say to use as far as file paths. scarecrowrob
