Uploading IOS 1900 via hyperterminal Xmodem

Ok, I have a switch (1900) that currently has no IOS. When I go to install it via Xmodem, I get to the point on hyperterminal where it is says "Waiting for configured baud rate". I then go to transfer, send file via Xmodem and select IOS. The byte transfer comes up, and then says "transfer cancelled by remote system". Then back to the main menu. Thats as close as I get. I've on the reguler setting (9600, no par, no FC etc. ) reset switch to have the same. Am I doing something wrong?
