I wonder if someone could help with uploading images into a form.

I have a form, which contains 10 fields. One of these fields is there to store an image which I have downloaded from the Internet.

I want to integrate a Browse button into my form which lets me search for an image. When I find it and click okay, I want Access to add it to the field, possibly storing it in the database or referencing it via pathname.

Many thanks, I look forward to reading your advice,

Best wishes

Hi Guys,

I have managed to sort this out. I have managed to create a button which opens up the standard Office 'File Open' dialogue box.

Through reading, I have defined which file types I can display (and the default). The user chooses an image, and it uploads into the required image box on the form. I have then put in an AfterUpdate sub procedure to redraw the image field.

It works.

Best wishes

I am also trying to do this.

I have used MS Knowledgebase article at

to create a form where i type an image name to add it to the database. I would like to add a button that will allow me to browse to the image instead of typing in the name / path. Can anyone tell me how to adapt this article to do this?

many thanks
