Uploading Hyperlinks into Sharepoint List

Hi all. I have a document library that houses contracts. The library contains a column for contract #. I link them to a LIST of related contract information using a hyperlink column in the LIST. Each time a contract is added to the library, we filter on contract #, copy the URL, go to the contract LIST and paste the URL in the hyperlink field. Where it says "type the description" we type "View Contract Info".

We recently added 1500 contracts, each has it's own contract #. I realized that the URL is the same each time, the only difference is the contract # at the end of the link. I can easily change the link to reflect the new contract #s in Excel, but my question is where do they go. I'm trying to upload 1500+ but in Datasheet View I only see my "View Contract Info", there isn't a place to paste and actual URL. The hyperlink column in sharepoint appears to be a two part. What's the URL and what do you want it to show. Can I combine these 2 together somehow to display the info I want but upload the URL? Any help would be appreciated. Derek
