Hi there,
Does anyone know of a solution?
I love making Flash buttons, but I'm running into a problem
If i make changes to a flash button and upload it (cuteFTP) to my web server -I open my web page and the newer Flash file doesn't take effect
It seems that the only time it works is if I go into Dreamweaver Ultra Dev4 delete the old Flash file and insert the new one and upload the whole page as well
In the past it was O.K. but this current Web -Site is database powered with 30+ pages ( obviously a pain in the arse) to manually change every page
Although I use some templates, maybe the fix is to make a 'header' file (containing the buttons)and include it with every page
Any ideas out there?
Much appreciated!

what browser are you using?..i know ie and netscape update everytime..but programs like aol and others of that format pull the file from your temp internet files (cache) everytime..so with that said have you tried dumping your temporary internet files after you make your buttons update?..should see the change after you dump the previous file from your cache..

Thanks alot for your quick response.
I actually just figured it out after many days of frustration. It was so simple.
Through my ftp client i just deleted the old button and then uploaded the new one -sometimes it takes a few minutes to kick in but seems to do the job
And yes i'm using internet explorer and occasionally netscape for testing purposes

Thanks again virt2001
P.S. how are your dreamweaver / html skills?
I have another question at this thread;
