Uploading file:
1. Is it possible to use <INPUT type=&quot;file&quot; name=&quot;userfile&quot; value=&quot;E:\myfile&quot;> to automatically attach myfile.

Downloading file:
2. How do i download file with using the ftp get command? i mean, graphically with a button like &quot;Download File&quot;. is there exists a command opposite to is_uploaded_file, something like is_downloaded_file to download a file?

1. Most browsers will not allow that due to security reasons.
2. Why don't you just link to the file? //Daniel

thanks daniel, how about presenting the user with a &quot;save as&quot; common dialog. can you direct me to a site where i could learn from? something like a tutorial?

thanks again,

You don't need to bother, just link to file. Browsers will pop up windows to allow users to save files.

asunpraise, i have an href pointing to the file but, what it did was, it opened up the file and displayed its content on the browser. why?

thanks,

Because you have a program that thinks it can display it, an file extension would be nice for us to figure out which. If it's a wierd file type that nothing should try to open from within the browser then check your MIME settings, it may have sneaked in there somehow.
