I am remotely trying to upload a new announcement to a IPo500 v2 9.1.3
The LVM utility is not working, so I have formatted the file as wav, 8khz, 16bit mono.
I have named it .c11 and then renamed it .clp.

Accessing the file management I have found the current file and renamed my new one to be this, and uploaded / replaced the file but it then loses the hunt group tag and doesnt play. there is no way for me to select the file, and as it is a professionally recorded greeting i dont want to play it down the phone as will sound terrible.

Anyone managed to get this to work?

simply renaming the file will not work
the LVM utility converts it to the correct format for the Embedded VM

in what way does the LVM utility not work? this is what you need to resolve

The LVM utility is not working" - then that's the problem for which you should ask help. What do you mean by 'not working'?

Stuck in a never ending cycle of file copying.

The LVM throws up an error and says to look at the log, but there is no log in the lVM folder,. i using 9.1 manager so will try uninstalling and using 9.0 as a google search suggests this.

Firstly..make sure you are running the Manager as Administrator.

Close down your manger program.
Right click on the manager icon an select Run as Administrator.
When it's opened then go to lvm utility
It should now work properly.

I have had the same issue and this was how I was able to get it to work.
This should also be documented.

Avaya does not document the obviuos, as i would not.
It is a Microsoft Windows security setting that block it for standard users as with many other software packages.

I tried the 9.0 and got the following error
Bad ".wav" file format. Sample rate not 8000 samples/sec.
have messed around with the wav file but not able to change much, Thought the idea of the LVM utility was to convert the track to the correct format?

ignore this, got a colleague to try - exactly the same setting on the file converter and was able to then use the LVM utility without getting an error.

Am now reinstalling 9.1 to try uploading to the customers system again

it is but it is very limited
it needs the correct input format so that it can then convert to the correct output format

you probably need to use something like ffmpeg to convert your wav file to the correct format before proceeding (it sounds like you supplier has not provided 8khz 16 bit mono after all)

The LVM throws up an error" - because when it came to saving the file you left it pointing at the IP Office Manager program folder, which you can't write files to without Windows administrator rights.

Put the file you want to convert in a personal folder and when prompted to load that file and to save the conversion select that same personal folder.

Stuck in a never ending cycle of file copying.

I have now converted the file, and uploaded it, but it just beeps when in the queue.
Is it matching against name or HG number or both?

I tried label 202 (the HG number) did same
I tried name - beeps.

Have not tried extn number and name.

Within the file management i see the file and it shows "announcement data" with the label and G.711 ALAW

It matches the name of you hunt group..

Press the help button in manager.

What software release runs the IPO?

Not all version support queue announcements via LVM utility.

okkie, IPO is 9.1
I have managed to get the LVM to convert my file, i can upload it to the sd card via file management, and it does show under the tagging the hunt group name & codec.
But when I dial in it just beeps instead of playing the greeting so i must be missing a step.
i have listened to the track and it has a greeting, I have rebooted the system, but just cannot get it working.

did you upload it to Lvmail-AAG folder as per the guide

Check out the FAQ section above as details are there on how to do this

no, i was uploading to the System SD, System, Dynamic, LV Mail folder, When I tested a recording by doing it on the telephone it appeared in this folder.
I understand the AAG folder is for auto attendant greetings?

[ponder]I am sure that's your issue
Put it in the AAG folder. ( Add All Greetings-as quoted from another member on this site) this is for all the professional recordings, hunt groups, users,
AA greetings

Using IP Office Manager, select File | Advanced | Embedded File Management.
Navigate to the following Dynamic\lvmail\AAG
upload file to this location

Announcement data label will tell you which AA or Hunt group the c11 file is used for and mailbox name will be in the format of “User Name” or “User Greeting”

IMPORTANT:
After importing the files it may take several minutes for the imported file to kick in and start to play.[rockband]
