forgive me if this is the wrong forum. Can anyone point me in the right direction for a certain device. i am looking for something that i can use to play a sound file (format doesnt matter) into my handset without the background noise. i have tried putting the handset to a pair of headphones, but it picks up all of the server noice and sound terrible. i have a guy that does this and he will not tell me how or what device he uses (becaue we pay him to do it). i know there is a common device to do this but i have no idea what combination of words to search for in order to find such a device or what the device is called. can someone help me out here at least with a name or phrase i can search for.

Confused as to what you are trying to do? What is it you are attempting to accomplish? Record conversations? Put a recording on to your voicemail system?

Sorry for the confusion. I am trying to upload an Audiotex recording to my intertel-5000. I guess it is like uploading to voicemail.

You could record the audio to your computer using a noise canceling mic, and then burn it to a CD using further noise reduction. Then hook a CD player to your device and playback the recording.

Unless it's one of those jobs that only records off a handset - then your options are more limited, but even some of those have a 1/4" mic jack on them....
