When I try to upload a GIF/JPG file it is giving the following error "Error attempting to generate temporary file name for directory D:\ramu" in the action page. From the form page, file has been encrypted and sent to action page and giving the error there.

Users of this site will be uploading image files to the server directory "D:\ramu".

Browser is IE 5.0
WINDOWS NT 4.0 sp6
cf server 4.5.1 recent sp installed.

I am getting this error consitently inconsistent. I have posted this question in the forums but no one answered for this.

I would appreciate if you let me know the remedy for this problem.

I have given access full control to everyone to the directory D:\ramu.

Users are able to upload the image files(like gif, jgif, jpeg, jpg...) most of the times. This error happens with windows 98 machine when trying to upload a image file from a 3.5" diskette

How are you encrypting the file? What does some of your file action code look like? - tleish
