I'm at a loss to explain this one...
We use a Cisco 4400 WLC and a whole lot of 1252APs plus maybe a dozen or so 1262s. We've never gotten complaints about slowness other than when our entire (wired and wifi) network is bogged down.
So just for the heck of it today, I went to Speedtest.net and did a speed test on our WiFi. The results were 1.04mbs down and 46.08mbs up.
Huh?
Confused, I performed the test several times over the space of a few hours, connecting to different access points just in case, and while the numbers weren't always identical, they were darn close. For comparison, on our wired network, I get speeds of 93+mbs up and down.
I thought maybe our firewall had something to do with it but nope--it doesn't even know that the WLC exists. The access points seem configured correctly as far as I can tell.
Any idea why our throughput is upside-down?
Thanks for any help!
